A spying device in every PC

Microsoft cooperates 100% with the government.
If your skydrive/email has (any) illegal stuff they will report it instantly.
Not a big issue but seeing the way MS assist the government i assume they may allow back doors as well.
No big deal to me, you are warned though..
:)
Does that include porn M$ isn't getting a cut from? :o
Windows 8 anyway is not anymore a PC OS >:(
QuoteWindows 8 anyway is not anymore a PC OS
Could be why Linux is the most widely used OS on the planet.

Not arround me, none of my customers (who are professionnal programmers) have made the jump to Linux.
I have heard since more than 30 years now, that UNIX would be the panacea, but this never occured here ;)
...
The Linux system on a PC are almost all dead ;)
Every Android phone, tablet, ... is running Linux. There is more programmers servicing that market than any other. Try looking for a job.
Until M$ stops counting PC's that never get turned on any more, sitting in a closet or already in the trash, investors will still believe they have a market. Linux owns 90% of the server market and has out done M$ in that market for years.
Once again a Tablet is not a PC, there is a big gap between the two.
...
That may be true for you and me but most folks are happy with a tablet/phone to check e-mail and buy stuff off the web.
I work in a company with 50,000 employees and we have determined only 5000 PC alone there is on any PC running Windows 7 or Windows XP. We have but a few machines where Linux is it that man can count on a few hands. It does not work with any Smardfone!
Do you think Microsoft can live on the corporate business alone? Individuals are more careful when spending their money.
Home user market and the professional market are two different things.
Without a stylus, a tablet is almost unusable even for just browsing the web...
The only tablet i found acceptable is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (with 32-Gb, a stylus, and a quad core to perform a little multitask). But then the price is almost the same than a PC.
And for the same price than a tablet i prefer to buy a fast SSD for my PC ;D
I don't get it. For me using the tablet means less storage and being acceptably slower than my laptop. I guess if you were a Linux developer, Android wouldn't seem that crippled to you. I compiled an OS (DOS) local on the device. Does that sound like a game console the kids play with in the back seat?
