Title: Types of programmers you’ll encounter in the field
Post by: Charles Pegge on November 06, 2007, 09:42:44 AM
I found this article very funny. Which type of programmer do you consider yourself to be? and have you encountered other types of programmer during the course of your work.

Well I expect most people here are not corporate team programmers, but from my experience with GEC, more on the engineering side, the types are clearly recognisable. Me? I was definitely the Cowboy. But I have mellowed since then, though my beard is not long enough to qualify me as a Gandalph.

I would be a little of the top 5 or so types, I see a bit of myself in during different stages of my life in there.  I have slowed down a lot, so more retired now and in more of a student mode then professional work mode.
