Title: Using ActiveX Control
Post by: Fredrick Ughimi on June 27, 2011, 02:27:49 AM
Hello,

My first time with ActiveX Controls.

I have an ActiveX control (Xceed Backup Library) that I would like to access using PBWin 9.04.

The file name is XceedBkp.dll and the ProgID = XceedSoftware.XceedBackup.1

I was able to register it from the DOS prompt. The control now appeared when I ran it, but would not show in design state (Using PwrDev)

What do I do next?

Best regards,

Hi Jose,

I was ho[ping this a general question (not relating to PwrDev).

I would like to know how its done using your OLE/COM and TypeLib Browser.

Best regards,

If it does not show, then maybe it is not a visual ActiveX. In such a case, what you have to do is to use NEWCOM "XceedSoftware.XceedBackup.1".
